How do I link my RBC Bank and RBC Royal Bank™ online accounts for single sign-in?

Once your RBC Royal Bank (Canadian) and RBC Bank (U.S.) accounts are linked, you can automatically exchange money at great rates and and instantly transfer it online for free¹. Here's how to get started.

If you typically enter U.S. Online Banking through rbcbank.com:

  1. Sign-in to RBC Bank (U.S.) Online Banking
  2. Click on your name next to the padlock icon at the top of the screen
  3. Click “Link your RBC Royal Bank and RBC U.S. Banking Accounts” and follow the simple on-screen instructions

Is there a limit to the amount I can transfer between my RBC Royal Bank and RBC Bank accounts?

Cross-border transfers between your RBC Royal Bank™ and RBC Bank accounts via Online Banking are limited to $25,000 (CAD or USD) per transaction. Should you need to transfer more than that at one time, please call 1-800 ROYAL 5-3 (1-800-769-2553), and an RBC Bank Advisor can accommodate single transfers up to and including $100,000.

Does RBC Bank offer eStatements?

Yes. Enrolling is free and easy. eStatements are available for your deposit accounts, credit cards, loans and lines of credit! In RBC Bank Online Banking, simply enroll to receive eStatements and you’ll receive an email notification each time your new eStatements are ready for viewing.

To enroll:

  1. Sign in to RBC Bank Online Banking. Doing so will take you to the Account Summary screen.
  2. Click on Customer Service, then My Profile & Preferences.
  3. This will take you to a screen called Bank Statement Preferences showing your eligible U.S. RBC Bank accounts with selection options for statements.
  4. Select eStatements for any or all of your eligible RBC Bank deposit accounts, credit cards, loans or lines of credit. Once you make your selections, a Terms & Conditions box will appear.
  5. Click View/Print Terms & Conditions and review the document thoroughly.
  6. Select checkboxes #2 and #3 to verify that you can view, print, and save eStatements using your computer and that you have read and agree to the Terms & Conditions.
  7. Click Submit.

How do I make a remote deposit?

To make a remote deposit, 1 begin by calling us at 1-800 Royal 5-3 (1-800-769-2553) to get your temporary user name and password. Next, you’ll sign in to our U.S. Remote Deposit website, set up your preferred user name, password, and security questions, and accept the Terms and Conditions. Now you’re ready to get started!

To deposit your check, first endorse (sign) the back of your check. Most checks have gray lines to show you where to endorse them. Flip your check over, turn it so the narrow width is at the top, and write your signature across the top. Below that, write the words, "For Deposit Only RBC Bank RDC."   1. Open the U.S. Remote Deposit application on your phone and sign in using your secure user name and password.
  2. Select Deposit and Account, and then enter the amount.
  3. Take pictures of both the front and back of the endorsed check, making sure you get all four corners of the check in the picture.
  4. Click Continue. You’ll receive a message that the upload is successful.
  5. Select Submit to view the deposit confirmation. RBC Bank will send you a final email confirmation.
  6. Sign out.

How to make your deposit using your computer and scanner

  2. Choose the account you’d like to make the deposit to and enter the amount of your deposit. Click Continue.
  3. Select the scanner connected to your computer. Note: Your scanner must be TWAIN compliant, as are most scanners sold in the past four years. The TWAIN interface allows your computer and scanner to communicate.
  4. Scan both the front and back of the endorsed check.
  5. Click Submit to send the deposit to us.
  6. Sign out.

We'll send you an email to let you know we've received your deposit and we’ll follow up with a final email confirmation once your deposit has been processed and the funds are in your account.

Cross-border funds transfer capabilities are not available during our daily system maintenance, which occurs at 6:25 a.m. to 6:35 a.m. Eastern Time and 7:55 p.m. to 8:05 p.m. Eastern Time.
