Send a U.S. Domestic Wire

How do I send a wire transfer?

To send wire transfers with RBC Bank, you must first sign and submit a one-time Wire Transfer Agreement.

Once we’ve received your signed agreement, you can send a wire transfer by calling us at 1-800-769-2553.

  • Your name and account number
  • The name, address, and account number of the person/business to whom you’re sending the wire
    • Beneficiary bank:
    • Where the person/business receiving your wire transfer has an account
    • - Name and address
    • - ABA/routing number
    • - SWIFT Code
    • Receiving bank:
    • If the beneficiary bank uses a receiving or intermediary bank
    • - Name and address
    • - ABA/routing number
    • - SWIFT Code

If this is your first wire transfer with RBC Bank U.S., before you call, make sure to print, fill out, and return the Wire Transfer Agreement with the accepted ID documents as outlined in the agreement.

Have this information ready when you call:

  • Your name and account number

  • Beneficiary bank (bank where the person/business receiving your wire transfer has an account)
    • Name and address
    • ABA/Routing number
    • SWIFT Code
  • Receiving bank (if the beneficiary bank uses a receiving or intermediary bank)
    • Name and address
    • ABA/Routing number (also called an institution or ABA number)
    • SWIFT Code

U.S. Domestic wire transfers:

  • Client Outgoing: $25
  • Client Incoming: $15

International wire transfers:

  • Client Outgoing: $75
  • Client Incoming: $15

How do I receive a wire transfer?

  • Sign-in to U.S. Online Banking
  • From the menu, select Move Money > Wire Transfers
  • Select the Receive a Wire tab
  • Select the Account to Receive Funds
  • Select whether the wire transfer is from the U.S. or Non-U.S.
  • Copy and paste (or print) the wire information to send to the wire sender
