RBC Bank’s inaugural RBC Bank Arizona Open golf tournament shares the power of a wish®
RBC Bank presented a $22,500 check to the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Arizona yesterday. The check presentation was held at the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Arizona offices in Phoenix, where 18 Make-A-Wish Foundation staff members along with RBC Bank representatives and the Diane Olson realty team gathered to celebrate the donation and the impact it will bring to children in the community.
The generous donation was raised in partnership with the Diane Olson Team of HomeSmart Realty during the recent inaugural RBC Bank Arizona Open on February 16. Approximately 100 clients, guests and friends of RBC Bank and the Diane Olson Team joined together on the golf course at the Arizona Grand Resort in Phoenix to play in the charity tournament and support the foundation’s mission. All proceeds from the tournament, including funds raised by sponsored holes and a silent auction, benefitted the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Arizona.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation, which was founded in Phoenix, has been enriching the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work since 1980. Currently 380 children are waiting for wishes in Arizona, and RBC Bank and its partners will be able to bring the hope, strength and joy of a wish experience to at least three local children with the funds raised.
“We’re thrilled to support an organization that transforms the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions,” said Alain Forget, Director, Sales and Business Development, RBC Bank. “This event provided the ideal opportunity for us to give back to the community in which we live, work and serve, and we look forward to continuing our relationship with the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Arizona.”
